Annual, 15-20cm (5.9-7.8in) tall, wonderfully looking flowers. Blooms long and abundantly. Flowers are beautiful lilac colour,3-4cm wide, looking amazing in gardens, pots, rockeries, borders, balconies and windowsills. These compact-growing, adaptable and versatile plants that can be grown in all types of pots and containers as well as in borders or raised beds. Great for small spaces. Easy to grow from seed with minimum care required.
Growing: Year round in tropical climate. In temperate climates sow from February to April on the surface of a good seed compost, and cover with a light sprinkling of compost or vermiculite. Place in a propagator at a temperature of 21-24C (70-75F) or seal the seed tray inside a polythene bag until after germination, which usually takes 14- 21 days. Do not exclude light, as this helps germination.
Soil: Light, fertile, well-draining soil.
Depth: sprinkle the seeds on the surface, lightly press in and do not cover with extra layer. Seeds need light to germinate.
Water: regularly to keep the soil moist.
Light: partial shade.
Fertilizing: optional.
