Perennial ornamental shrub with especially vivid red racemes. Grows 1.5-2m (4.9-6.5ft) tall, starts blooming after 5-6 months from planting. First year grown in groups, later individually as garden décor detail. Prefers medium fertile soil and warm, bright, sunny location protected from wind. Young plants are kept under cover during winter, if cold is a concern.
