Parsley Leafy 'Festival 68' 1200 Seeds (Petroselinum crispum) Herb Heirloom

Medium early, leafy parsley heirloom grown for spring, summer and autumn harvest. Grown for spring/summer harvest mature in 80-90 days, for autumn harvest - 150-180 days. Very popular for highly aromatic, deep green, straight, smooth leaves and nutritious white roots adding fragrant touch to a wide variety of dishes. Leaves are highly aromatic, rich flavoured. Can be used fresh, dried and frozen. Suitable for growing in herb gardens outdoors, potted indoors or hydroponically. The leaves may be cut all season for use as needed. In the fall they may be dried and stored in tight jars, or roots may be transplanted into pots or hydroponic planters to be grown indoors. Parsley is beneficial to asparagus, corn, tomatoes when planted nearby.

Growing: Not suitable for tropical climate.

Planting season: spring, indoors, 6 weeks prior last frost; direct seeding after last frost. Seeds take 21-28 days to germinate. They can be soaked in warm water overnight to speed up the germination.

Soil: fertile, loamy, rich in nitrogen, well drained soil with a pH5.6-7.5.

Sowing depth: 9-12in (22-30cm) apart.

Light: full sun.

Watering: regular to keep soil moist.

Fertilizing: recommended.
