This Italian heirloom produces short, compact 60cm tall plants that bear huge yields of tasty, blood-red, round pimento-type Peppers that are very sweet. The flesh is very thick and crisp and delicious fresh or cooked. A wonderful variety that has many uses. These well known, versatile fruits are great in salads, fried, stuffed, grilled and barbecued. Packed full of vitamins A, B and especially C, as well as antioxidants. Grow them indoors or outdoors in the greenhouse (temperate climates) or in a sheltered, sunny spot in the garden. Planting: Year round in tropical climate; In temperate climates - Early spring, starting the seeds indoors 6-8 weeks prior the last frost date and transplanting outdoors after the danger of last frost is gone.
Soil: Fertile, well-drained soil. Grows well in warm and hot climates.
