Kale

Planting season: Year round in tropical climates; In temperate climates plant indoors 3-5 week prior the last frost date and transplant after the danger of last frost is gone and soil has warmed up.
Soil: Fertile, well-draining, rich in organic matter.
Sowing depth: Sow the seeds 0.6cm deep. For baby leaves sow apprx 60 seeds in 5-10cm bands in 2cm between the bands. For full size sow approximately 3 seeds every 20-25cm, thinning to 20-25cm.
Row spacing: 46-76cm.
Moisture: Water regularly to keep the soil moist (not soggy!). We advise water when soil starts to feel dry to the touch.
Light: Warm, bright location with plenty of sunlight. If the afternoon sun is burning hot, provide some shade.
Fertilizer: requires a minimum amount of fertilizer to support healthy growth. We highly recommend using TSM Organic Growth Activator to speed up the germination of the seeds, support healthy growth and promote high yields.
Pests & diseases: fungal, bacterial, water mold diseases. Most common pests include aphids, flea beetles, nematodes. We highly recommend using TSM Organic Neem Oil for a natural overall protection and treatment of various pests and diseases.
Companion plants: cucumbers, lettuce, beets, marigolds, nasturtiums, sweet peppers.
